What is FBC? Funky Buddha Community is the home for all of our Community programming.

The Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse was born in Grand Rapids. It is our home, and we are committed to the growth, health, and development of our city as a whole. Funky Buddha Community programs work to engage the community by offering programming that is accessible and fun, and by working with Community Partners and Businesses that align with our Core Values.

Funky Buddha Community Classes: Our Sunday night Community Classes offer an energetic, diverse, and super fun low priced drop-in option for those that want to dip their toe in the yoga pond. In the summertime (between Memorial Day and Labor Day) the Community Classes move outdoors where the sun is shining and the price is right (free).

Funds raised by the Community Classes (when they are indoors) and other Funky Buddha events, goes to fund other Funky Buddha  Community Event Programming which directly raises funds for our Community Partners.

Funky Buddha Non-Profit Community Partners: Introducing the official Funky Buddha Community Partners (drum-roll please)……Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, The Spoke Folks, and WYCE.

We <3 our Community Partners. Each of these three amazing non-profit organizations was selected for their overarching quality and their direct alignment with our Funky Buddha Core Values. Plus, they are just super fun to work with – which, let’s face it, is really important too.

The mission of the Funky Buddha Community Program is to collaborate with our Community Partners to create amazing engaging FUN events that serve as an opportunity to build friendships while simultaneously raising money for great causes that directly impact our Grand Rapids Community.

Funky Buddha Local Small Business Partners: The Funky Buddha is committed to developing collaborative relationships with other Grand Rapids small businesses that share the same commitment to excellence and service as the Funky Buddha (Core Values again….always comes back to those Core Values).

In every Tribe Newsletter you will see a “Core Values Kudos” – an official fist bump and love letter to another Grand Rapids small business that is doing awesome work in our city. We love working with our small business friends to create awesome experiential events. What do you get when you add awesome to awesome, and then add a little splash of awesome???? THE AWESOME-EST!! That is what you get.

We love all our peeps: That Early Bird, 616 LoftsMalamiah Juice, Harmony Hall, One Bourbon, Field & Fire, What the Truck, Brewery Vivant, Love’s Ice Cream, The People’s Picture Company…..just to name a few.
